Nothing like a proposal for a modest amount of lower-income housing nearby to find out who your neighbors are.

Unsurprisingly the Clark bike lane from Devon to Ashland is basically impassable due to snow. Really wish Chicago cared as much about about winter bike lane maintenance as they do clearing the road for cars

Just witnessed a driver run through THREE red lights along Sheridan. It's going to be really hard to convince me we don't need ticketing capabilities on every traffic light.

Fuck every alder who voted against plowing the sidewalks in chicago. I hope you don't slip and fall and break some bones.

Special fuck you to the alder who did some terrible "back of the napkin" math. Stop ruining our lives!!!!

"Go where the bus won't take you"

Well why the fck can't I use transit to visit Southern Illinois nature destinations??!! A bus should take me right outside the park entrance

Visited Hyde Park for the first time in a WHILE over the weekend. Pleasantly surprised taking the CTA there and back was convenient. Sure, CTA was 30 longer than driving🙄
Unexpectedly the wait for the Garfield bus was brief. I wish it was this way all the time.

Just saw a 8 and 17 minute wait for a southbound Red Line train. I'd pay a quarter more for the train if it meant higher frequency.

Took the Ravenswood Greenway home last night and I *think* CDOT finally knows how to build a proper raised crosswalk. Sorry, no pictures but I could swing around that way this evening if y'all really want some.

Day-One service priorities should be identifying barriers to increasing all-day Metra frequencies, and reassessing the CTA and Pace’s parallel bus network redesigns to see what can be salvaged or start fresh with what we should’ve initially done (plan the network, then assign routes to CTA or Pace).

NITA needs to come out of the gate with bold vision – and action – to create and enforce the “one-network, one-timetable, one-ticket” regional operating model codified in SB2111.

Leave the past in the past. It’s time for a new generation of leaders to guide us into the future.

Greg Hinz: Lawmakers did only half the job of fixing Chicago's creaky public transit system
For the moment, only part of the job of fixing Chicago-area transit has been completed. There’s still work to do.

Glad we’re saving our intercity bus terminal but it would’ve been nice to more thoroughly explore relocation options to somewhere a bit better connected to our regional transit network before making a $50 million investment to take it over

If it were me I’d vote for Katie
Katie Wilson wants to paint bus lanes in her first week

Bruce Harrell wants to issue an executive order outlining a 6 month equity analysis studying bus lanes in the last week he’s in office
Incumbent Bruce Harrell and left-lane challenger Katie Wilson both want to be Seattle’s next mayor. They are otherwise not alike at all -- personally or professionally.

People, sure, but primarily drivers are not ok!

I'm not immune myself. I feel this when I drive too. I'm a completely different person behind the wheel and I f*cking hate it.

We need more options so we don't have to drive as much! Especially *inside* cities.
Had a driver completely lose his mind screaming at me, cursing, etc - because I made eye contact with him at a light while I was walking. People are not ok out here man, just wow.

Militarized local, state, & federal police used physical violence, chemical weapons, & the threat of dogs (as in, multiple - terrible) against people outside the Broadview ICE jail this afternoon. I still have a cough, sore throat, & breathing problems from it, even with a respirator mask.
Outside Chicago—

State police and sheriff's officers at Broadview detention center are out in riot gear.

A large Halloween demo is being prevented from doing a Jericho walk through the intersection.

Arrests of protesters ongoing. Troopers have also assaulted multiple reporters already.
