I think it's in *how* Trump is attacked. Yes, there may have been folly in attacking Trump for things that would have gotten other politicians cancelled, but which he is immune to. But focusing on the real world implications of things he's done and is doing, phrased correctly, is effective.
The bizarre media narrative that Dems must choose between anti-Trump and affordability politics reflects a broad reluctance to accept that Trump is really unpopular. The way forward is a fusion of the two. They are often one and the same. 8/
