AFT 2026, the Faculty and Staff Federation of Community College of Philadelphia represents 1200 members in three bargaining units. 3 contracts: one union
We are fighting to change a status-quo that has shortchanged our students, staff, and faculty.
Pinned
In March, our union won big, but then we had to fight for what we won. And we continue to do so. Here is a summary of our wins.

Thank you to everyone who supported Community College of Philadelphia workers and our students! Our win is your win.

Who are we? CCP! What are we? The heart of the city!
49th in the nation is shameful

Governor Josh Shapiro AND PA Senate and House Republicans.

Pennsylvania students, families, communities, and workers need and deserve more support. Disinvestment in higher education hurts the PA economy.
Yesterday, our union was proud to join public higher ed workers across PA. Our coalition is unprecedented and growing. Community college and PASSHE, and Pitt, Temple and Penn State workers are calling on Harrisburg to fully fund public higher ed. Let’s go from the bottom 10 to the top 10.

Gather outside McCormick’s office for a teach-in on the connections btw billionaire power brokers & leaders of Philly-area Higher Ed & Healthcare institutions. We’ll call on Sen McCormick to side with workers, students & patients instead of the wealthy.

Instead of leading to benefit PA, Sen McCormick is in lockstep w/ Trump’s funding cuts & govt shutdown, which have real imact for PA students, faculty, staff, & researchers. And lack of state budget will make impacts even worse for our communities.

The 7 million Americans who took the streets for 'No Kings' made history, and they did something even more important

They got under the skin of Donald Trump and his dictatorial regime, on a day that showed that most Americans love democracy instead

A massive turnout of 7 million and a panicked White House showed Saturday why the No Kings protests matter, a lot.

More essential reading from Will Bunch: It's getting harder to shock America, but Trump managed this weekend with a crude, fiery threat to wage war on Chicago. But a massive street protest Saturday, backed by a strong governor, shows Chicago isn't having it. Did Trump pick the wrong fight?
