It's honestly insane she still has a position, but given her propensity for corruption it's probably more to do with that. Wish some promising young person would primary her.

Debbie was the primary conspirator in the 2016 DNC collusion with Clinton and a primary reason we got Trump instead of Bernie. She should have been punished by the electorate but instead they kept her.

There was legit inside trading on it through the market place for betting on Maduro's ouster.

The idea that congress hadn't gotten SOME form of leak is basically impossible lol

Debbie Wasserman Schultz called Maduro's capture "welcome news" but criticized Trump for "apparently failing to notify Congress beforehand".

This is the neoliberal position in a nutshell: Substantively fine with regime change and imperial power projection, just mad about process.
House Democrat calls Trump's Maduro capture 'welcome news' as left labels it 'illegal'
Most Democrats are blasting the Trump administration after the U.S. conducted an operation to capture Venezuela's leader, Nicolás Maduro.

Remember when everyone was joking that the CIA just “isn’t what it used to be” because it wouldn’t [redacted] Trump?

JK! It is, in fact, what it used to be!

The U.S. intervened to oust governments in Latin America a total of at least 41 times — about once every 28 months from 1898 to 1994 — including 17 cases of direct intervention by the U.S. armed forces, intelligence agencies, or locals employed by U.S. government agencies.

If you want any indication of how legacy media is going to handle this current situation, listen to the half hour of coverage on @npr.org leading up to the president's press conference. They hit all the classics, from, "Well Maduro WAS a dictator, " to extreme consent manufacturing.

I think about how the media that these people continually vilify, knew about upcoming murders, and chose not to let the American public know. Imagine being so engulfed in access media, that you just don't report the news and then parrot government talking points.

Trump/Hegseth/Rubio killed 40 Venezuelan civilians two days ago. They've been murdering random fishermen for weeks.

Think about that. Really think about that. Think about shaking the hand of someone responsible for that. Think about writing a news article about them and not mentioning that.

Abysmal statement from Canada on the illegal US action in Venezuela.

It doesn’t matter how much you dislike Maduro, that doesn’t justify a violation of international law and the UN Charter. You can’t call on “all parties” to respect international law and not call out US lawlessness.
Please see my statement on the situation in Venezuela:
