For Maths fans, 2025 is a square.
45² = 45 x 45 = 2025
Also,
9² x 5² = 2025
40² + 20² + 5² = 2025
My favourite?
1³+2³+3³+4³+5³+6³+7³+8³+9³ = 2025

Not only keep them out of evaluations, but stop entirely. Do not use.
Did you see this experiment my colleague Kristina conducted not just at my university but *in my department*? She and the male instructor assumed eachothers’ names for an online course: and the difference in feedback they received was horrifying.
Student Evaluations Can’t Be Used to Assess Professors. They’re Discriminatory.
And that means they’re illegal.

As someone who has worked in healthcare their entire career, what these people do to others is criminal…

Vigilante justice isn’t the answer people should resort to but damnit, I get it. We watch people die bc of these companies blatant disregard for human life so why must we care about them 🤷‍♀️
Honest question for those cheering for Luigi Mangione:

I agree that UHC is guilty of horrific policies, but where exactly is the line of acceptable victims?

If killing the CEOs of health insurance carriers is OK, what about the BoD?

If that's OK, how about all the VPs & other execs?

Double-empathy problem:

Because autistic and non-autistic people experience the world and express emotions differently, it can be difficult for autistic and non-autistic people to experience cognitive empathy for one another, which can cause misunderstandings.

My initial reaction to this was "Why are we continuing to focus on the parent's mental health and not the Autistic person?"

But if you look closer, the idea of "Broader Autism Phenotype" (BAP) is an interesting one

Don't love the idea on the focus of BAP as a red flag for emotional dysregulation -

When you become chronically ill - people leave you. They may be supportive at first but many grown impatient when you don’t “get better”.

They refuse to accept the realities of the “chronic” part of chronic illness. They leave you behind.

This is especially hard at the holidays. 1/2
