Last year, I was trying to separate myself from my old online identity just a little, but I'm not sure what the point of that was.
So I'm putting my name back into my profile.

It wasn't supposed to be a self portrait but I used myself for reference and put all my sadness into it so I guess it is a self portrait.

I forgot to share this, but I had to take time off drawing and got really in to my crochet scarf afterwards. I introduced a 6B(?) graphite stick to the mix. Might work on this later…

I think I’m finally starting to find purpose in creating again after deciding to give up freelancing.
Or maybe I’m conceding that a wider purpose needn’t be found within art at all?

I’m happy it’s cold and my husband is a very soft heater but I get too comfy and fall asleep :(
Except I’m sick this morning and had to get out of bed. :/
I’ll hug him when I feel better and try not to doze. For now, I will tell him he’s cute just in case he forgot. :)

I usually don’t show journal pages, but the middle is coming out cute and contemplative in less of a “my existence is misery” kind of way and more like a curiosity about my potential to find peace.
