Legalize townhouses, condos, duplexes, etc in single-family zones. Build tons of homes. Invest in trains and buses. Cars = traffic, crashes, pollution, noise.

Everyone clear your schedules for October 18 and find the nearest No Kings protest.
yeah, i think this is a house of cards, but if the elites never call the bluff and the public doesnt force their hand, then trump gets to be king for four years.
This is an incredibly brittle regime and much of its power comes from people bowing to empty bluster instead of any concrete threat.

Don't say "Parking Requirements"
Instead use "Costly Parking Mandates"

The language we use evokes emotion and mental shortcuts; we like to create coherent stories. Framing the story of parking reform in a compelling way will help us succeed. 🧵/7

Twice as many children die in car crashes than from all pediatric cancers combined. This does not count the long term health effects of breathing exhaust, brake and tire particles or the loss of physical activity and independence from living in a world hostile to traveling outside of a car.

Here's the reality about the #LAFires this week: this isn't the first time ANY of these places have burned. Not even close. In 2018, we mapped CA fire history to look at fire frequency across SoCal. Santa Monica Mtns area burns more than anywhere else -- up to once per decade in a given spot. 🧵

Thanks to Eric Adams and the New York City Council, Simple Loaf on 5th Ave in Brooklyn went from having a beautiful outdoor dining setup with space for more than a dozen patrons to having space for parking two cars.
