Truth or Treason worth watching, tells the true story of Helmuth Hübener who was the youngest German to resist Nazism, he was eventually arrested, tried & executed by beheading. He was only 17 years old, his two friends Karl & Robbe were imprisoned, Solomon his Jewish friend died in the holocaust.

What a sad sign of the times, tried to subscribe a gift for my brother as it wouldn’t let me before Christmas…a combination of the COVID period, High Streets (newsagents) changing/reducing with footfall, spiraling costs…back to the drawing board 🤷‍♀️

An ambulance driver with a German bomb that fell on her camp at Calais and failed to explode c1918. She has been identified as Sheila Mary Mason, who joined the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry after her husband died of wounds in 1917. An old postcard photo that I bought many years ago.

Muirhead Bone produced some exceptional pieces of artwork in both World Wars. The book published in 1917 with drawings depicting places along the Western Front ravaged by war, below is one image of Indian Cavalry.
