At the age of 21 (just 5 ft. 2 inches tall), Joan Hughes joined & served with the ATA throughout the war. She was a capable instructor and flew just about everything including the massive Short Stirling. Respect! #ata #shortstirling #raf #ww2

The SNCAC NC.211 "Cormoran" was a prototype aircraft aimed at providing the French Air Force with a heavy transport aircraft capable of dropping a minimum of 95 paratroopers and carrying equipment.
However, it was underpowered and had an outdated design.
