It’s like this where I am, too. Schools mandate attendance while parents and teachers shame parents who send their kids to school with a cough.
They send you home after they call the roll. Standard practice in OUSD schools is to push attendance and call you to come get them 15min later. Budgets are tied to attendance.
If you keep them home for health and well-being, the truancy letters start.

It’s funny that men can sleep with however many women, marry as many times as they want, have babies by as many different women as they want, and it doesn’t impact their ability to lead or think. But a woman has one baby out of wedlock and supposedly isn’t smart enough to take care of one baby.

Have we ever stopped to think about why this tactic works? Women are still losing jobs, elections, etc. when people claim they are promiscuous. Why is this is an effective strategy? I want to blame it on Republicans too, but everyone participates in this. Even those in the comments of this post.

The Barbie movie got one thing extremely wrong and it’s that one monologue is not going to de-program women. We are fighting centuries of conditioning. Example: No matter how aware a woman is of her conditioning, she will still laugh the loudest when a man she likes makes fun of other women.
