An ancient watcher over Garn Fawr hillfort on Strumble Head, north Pembrokeshire today..

A striking rock profile as one descends from the hillfort - interesting how common these are at some of our ancient outcrop monuments

NHS waiting lists remain over 740,000, with diagnostic waits hitting a record high - all under Labour's watch. 🤯

Plaid Cymru will roll out surgical hubs across Wales and making health boards work together to better share resources, as part of a wider plan to renew our NHS.💚

A solid cooking rule to follow is to remember that when recipes say "add two cloves of garlic" is is always a misprint and what they actually mean is six.

The King's Fort • Derry

This is one of the best preserved ringforts in Ulster. It likely dates to some time between the 6th—12th century.

It is situated on the southern slopes of Benbradagh, commanding spectacular views over Drumsurn in County Derry.

The Achilles' Heel, that mortal flaw that contains both a promise of invulnerability and a prophecy of final doom, is ubiquitous across many mythologies.
Welsh myth contains one of the more obscure examples.

#HillfortsWednesday #Celtic: Excavations at Tre'r Ceiri have produced finds mainly of Roman pottery, showing that they traded with the Romans. During the final period of occupation the fort may have been used as a refuge, not from the Romans but from Irish raiders.

These reheated announcements mean nothing to many communities I represent.

We’ve had promises for our part of Wales before but no delivery.

We are still owed billions in rail funding. We have no control over where funding is spent. Until this changes, nothing changes for the people of my region.

This announcement will feel like déjà vu to many people in Wales.

These stations were already announced in last year’s Spending Review, with funding spread over a decade.

Reheating old promises is not the generational transformation Wales was promised.

Wales has been short-changed on rail for decades.

We are still owed BILLIONS in funding from HS2 alone.

Without fair funding and full rail powers nothing changes.

For new leadership that stands up for Wales vote Plaid Cymru on 7 May.
