"He knew nothing about it."

Just thinking how much shit Biden got for giving MBS a fist bump -- and now we have Tru.p outright clearing him of murdering Khashoggi.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

Under Kash Patel, almost a quarter of the F.B.I.’s more than 13,000 agents have been assigned to work on the apprehension of undocumented immigrants. Hundreds more have been sent to support local police in cities that Donald Trump has targeted. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/2F1Z79

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

This is a truly brutal opinion, from that opening quote on down. Between that and the timing and some technical things about it (constitutional, not just VRA), this is really jamming SCOTUS as hard as possible to let it stand.

I wouldn't bet on it, but it wouldn't be totally shocking if it works.
Here is the federal district court's 2–1 ruling, authored by a very conservative Trump appointee, striking down Texas' new Republican gerrymander on the grounds that it unlawfully discriminates against racial minorities. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Imagine being such a cretin. Smearing a man who was brutally murdered and dismembered. Another brazen example of the soullessness of Donald Trump.

Trump has done and said many outrageous things. This is on top of that list.

"Things happen." Exactly what Jesus would have said.

“Quiet! Quiet, piggy,” Trump snapped at a female reporter on Monday when asked about the Epstein files.

Today, the GOP-controlled House is expected to overwhelmingly pass a bill seeking to force the Justice Department to release a huge trove of files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

The government seems to be trying to simultaneously claim it can deliver Reform’s agenda better than Reform, while also about once a month sending out someone to decry Reform’s racism.

It’s genuinely sort of amazing that they still haven’t realised why that doesn’t work.

Remember the recent middle-of-the-night apartment building raid where children were dragged outside naked & zip-tied in the street while black & Latino residents were _sorted by race_ and piled into separate vans while their apartments were ransacked & robbed? That raid? So it resulted in 0 arrests.
