Born in NY in 1938, she was fascinated by technology and astronomy, and in 1955 started her education at MIT. She started her gender transition in 1957, but, you'll be shooken to learn that in the 50s we were about as OK with that then as parts of our country are with it today 🤯.

This is my favorite picture of Stonewall.
They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+.
Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them.
I think about it a lot in moments like this.

Well surgery was a blast. The healing process takes a long time though since I had to wait on years long waiting lists to have it done at a hospital and pay out of pocket for it since I'm too old to have it done in elementary school at the nurse's office 🏳️⚧️

David Lynch was an incredible director and writer, who continuously pushed the boundaries of both film and television. His work has been fairly iconic, if not problematic. He seemed to be aware of the violence women face and potentially capitalized on that in his work. For good or bad, I'm not sure

This is horrifying story about how Florida is attempting to detransition trans prisoners calling their identity a delusion.
The FL Department of Corrections is attempting to "reverse" the gender identity of transgender people in its custody, referring to trans identities as "short-term delusions" and withholding hormone therapy. Reviving psychiatric theories of the 1950s, they blame trans identities on "childhood trauma"
