Saw an article that described this reputation protection pageantry as "ruthless" on Charles' part & lost a contact rolling my eyes. This is why men rarely face any meaningful repercussions. When the slightest inconvenience is seen as "ruthless" it's deemed sufficient justice, if not "too far."

It's pretty wild to me that investigators have uncovered that anti-trans campaigns are largely funded by the fossil fuel industry, and that the presumed motivations are pretty directly to redirect the public conversation away from climate change... and that this isn't bigger news.

One thing that needs to be pushed back against is the idea that cis male survivors of abuse have it uniquely hard/face more hate than other victims of abuse because “no one takes it seriously.” Yes, cis men aren’t taken seriously, but that is because no one who makes accusations is taken seriously.

i have been thinking a lot about “overconsumption” discourse and how it only ever targets female-coded stuff (labubus, fast fashion, makeup) but could absolutely be applied to things like guns
IMO many Americans don't even buy guns for personal protection or to defend themselves against a tyrannical government. They simply have a shopping addiction
