19 wickets in a day? You'd get more than that in a boring ODI.

Ahem.

Poised, but unlikely to be a five day match. Great bowling.

Ashes prediction: Australia win 3-1, Root gets a big century in a match England lose, Zak is one of England's better scorers but doesn't average 40, Brook only gets one score, at least two bowlers break, Smith and Head score more than half of Australia's runs, bowlers dominate.

Had not been too unhappy with England's CWC performance until I got a work break at 1/3. Now I think I'll dive back in to work and forget this whole tournament is happening.

Waqar Younis in the cheapest tier? C'mon...

Root, Jayawardene, Murali, Cook, Waqar Younis.

Swap MJ for Stokes if you need a captain. Swap Root for Sangakkara if you need a keeper.
Who are you choosing? 🫵

On the plus side, England haven't lost a game in this WC.

On the minus side, England (as a collective) don't seem to be improving as they get more games.

Have to hope that a tight win like that gives confidence and improvement for the remaining games, not complacency.

Seeing a lot of complaints about England's middle order right now, despite the team posting near 300.

And I'm nodding along to all the complaints. These are all good players and yet none of them can get consistent international runs in what feels like a year or more.

Put on the Yorkshire Durham match to give us something to watch between the rugby matches, and it's one of the collapsiest collapses I've ever seen.

And breathe.

I really hope the Red Roses can play as we know they can next week.

Very nervy half of rugby - not good so far.

Once upon a time at the Hawk Conservancy in Andover they had a sea eagle called Daneby. Daneby also like koi, which he sourced from a local garden. The lady called Conservancy and asked for advice and eventually netted the pond.

Which is when Daneby was involuntarily trampolined into near orbit.

I think Scotland may be regretting the "scare" that the Australians gave the Red Roses last week.
