I just think that Australia have more players who still know how to play Test cricket; reinventing the wheel is at times exciting but mess about with it too much & it comes off the road. Also whatever rights & wrongs of county cricket perhaps you can’t ignore/dismiss it & expect things to go well?

Ince says he resigned after fallout with executives because some of his views had been considered ‘problematic’
The comedian and author Robin Ince has resigned from his role as co-host of the long-running BBC Radio 4 podcast The Infinite Monkey Cage after a fallout with BBC executives over “problematic” opinions and what he described as a lack of “obedience”.
Ince, who has co-presented the popular science show alongside Prof Brian Cox for 16 years, posted on social media that his personal views, aired outside the BBC, “have been considered problematic for some time” and he “felt he had no choice but to resign”. Continue reading...

My Dad has been a lifelong Spurs supporter but has never once seen them live; so at 87 years old I splashed out for Christmas and a visit to see them in the new year.
Being the good son I am, after that 2nd goal tonight I rang him to see if he wanted socks instead!

Talk of this being a statement from Australia; for me the statement is England’s middle order failing so badly third innings and you shouldn’t win from that; the fact sometimes you can, can make fools of us. But a Ben Stokes team can turn the series back. Of course amazing Head #TheAshes

Don’t wish to enter the arguments over the term ‘People of a certain age’ but fair to say I’m of that age that a 2.30 start won’t need an alarm. But what sleep will follow knowing what we know now? #TheAshes

Such can be the contradictions of watching cricket I wanted to see more of Head v England; and to be out to a better ball and shot; but Stokes is often the ringmaster and he now he has two #TheAshes
