It was suggested to me by the BBC pronunciation unit in 1985 I had to call the town Shrowsbury due to its etymology.
Now in those days I couldn’t look up that big word on a search engine/too lazy to pick up a dictionary.
So told them in Bishop’s Castle we call it Shrewsbury 😉 🙏 & we stayed friends.

They are so good; I hope one day to see them live. When I need a pick up I turn to N17 and Hay Wrap live in Galway and the world is better for a while.
