Recent Australian pitches in the Sheffield Shield in particular have been very bowler friendly. That reduces their advantage in the bowling department; it just needs one or two partnerships to come off for England to win a low scoring test.

I used them for coverings and they worked very well. However, they're near-impossible to clean if anything non-liquid sticks, so for my use they were too expensive.

Can't be T20 as key people didn't get a chance. I guess it's Tests and ODIs combined.

AR and YJB are both injured, would be my guess... although I wouldn't take either, good as they are.

I'd certainly agree that England being allowed to put 7 bowlers, 7 batters, and 2 wicket-keepers on the pitch might, just about, make them competitive.

Could argue Southampton and the M27. It's about a mile away, and the M27 goes "around" the Southampton/Portsmouth mega-city.

Shoulder impingement? If raising arm above shoulder height causes pain, especially putting on clothes, that's what did for me.
