BS. David Littleproud is misleading the nation. The joint Bruce Highway Upgrade Program commenced in 2013, he was in government for most of it. We have to cease this point scoring. We just want to see the state & federal budget line items now. #auspol www.skynews.com.au/australia-ne...
‘National embarrassment’: PM ‘late to the table’ on Bruce Highway funding
Nationals Leader David Littleproud says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is “late to the table” on funding for the Bruce Highway. The Prime Minister is in Cairns in Queensland announcing $260 million to go towards community and housing infrastructure after announcing $7.2 billion to upgrade the Bruce Highway. “This is righting a wrong of the prime minister, particularly the Bruce Highway; he cut the 80/20 split that we had when we were in government,” Mr Littleproud told Sky News Australia. “It’s a national embarrassment, and Anthony Albanese, while we welcome this, is just matching what we were doing when we were in government and what we have already announced that we would continue to do.”

This is exactly why we need truth in political advertising.
Meta abandoning fact-checking leaves voters further exposed to misinformation ahead of the election. It's time for truth in political advertising. My ‘Voter Protections’ bill ensures transparency and accountability—because freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom to lie.

In Australia its a cheaper to cause an oil spill than to get a nursing degree

In Norway they tax their oil industry and give kids free degrees while in Australia we subsidise the oil industry and charge kids a fortune to go to uni

Priorities matter
Accused by a whistleblower of covering up an oil spill that killed dolphins and sea snakes, Santos get fined just $10k 🤯

Santos spends up to $US3.3m per year on a private jet for their executives so I don’t think AUD10k is going to hurt them.

Australia is a nation of duopolies and Australians are collateral damage.

Telstra/Optus
Woolworths/Coles
Labor/LNP

Regardless of your political persuasion - making it impossible for Independents is fortifying the duopoly, it’s undemocratic.

imagine if behind the curtain, the ACCC was just coles + woolies, and they decided to give themselves big fat taxpayer grants and to squeeze aldi + IGA out of the market!

…well, labor + the coalition are doing something very similar to indies + minor parties.

it basically #FinancialGerrymandering.
"Labor & Coalition politicians are rushing through legislation without proper scrutiny, that will deliver tens of millions of dollars in additional public funding for the major parties, while tilting the playing field against independents & minor parties."
