That's more than 1,100 jobs lost at the CSIRO over the last two years.

"Combined, the staff association estimates that equates to cutting the agency’s size by a third."

This is more cuts to the CSIRO than was attempted by the Abbott government.

CSIRO to slash hundreds of jobs in cost-saving drive
The staff association at the nation’s leading scientific research organisation says the latest round of cuts marks “a sad day for publicly funded science”.

New report indicates 1 in 6 Western Australian children in acute housing distress. 1 in 4 in food insecurity.
While billions of dollars flow out to Japan for free in gas that is destroying livelihoods and industries by the dozens. And killing entire ecological systems.

Never mock an activist.

If you have a social conscience, it’s intrinsic.

If you don’t - STFU.

So, last night 4 Corners does an important story about child sexual abuse in child care and Sussan Ley attempts to discredit Albanese about a t-shirt….

Furthermore, there’s a couple of million Australians who have suffered childhood abuse that will affect their lives forever….

But a t-shirt…..

The Albanese government is upset because the Senate has asked it to release a report into jobs given to mates. It is quite specifically grumpy about answering more questions in question time www.theage.com.au/politics/fed...

FINALLY the SMH editorial team has called out fascist Trump and his goon squad after their disgraceful act against press freedoms earlier today at the Pentagon

Screenshots of the editors note are in the comments

We need more media to stand up to this normalisation of fascism before it’s too late
Even in Trump’s America, the crackdown on Pentagon reporters is chilling stuff
An unprecedented crackdown represents a dark day for democracy and should serve as a wake-up call for complacent Australians.
