If 3/4 of AFL agents say gambling is a problem for their players, what hope do our kids have, who look up to them? Banning gambling ads would be a great first step to challenge the normalisation of gambling in sport. Now is the time. #auspol

The major parties agree on ~99% of the forward estimates. The only difference between them is the flavour of their sugar hits. Mr Dutton could be bold on tax reform, but instead we get $6b in debt-funded fuel excise cuts. We must drag the parties to tax reform. #auspol

So-called ‘electoral reform’ has been pushed through the House this morning - debate on the major party stitch-up was gagged - both parties terrified of any scrutiny. They are losing public support so changing the rules to prevent future competition. A sad day for Australian democracy. #auspol

About time! There’s so much opportunity for WA to prosper in a decarbonising world and production tax credits will kickstart and derisk our transition. After much prompting, we now have the legislation passed. Now we just need to implement it. Let’s go WA. #auspol

The govt and the opposition just got together to vote for mandatory minimum sentencing for hate crimes. Hate crimes need serious consequences but courts should decide sentences, based on all the circumstances. It’s called separation of powers. #auspol

Having worked in the sector and heard stories from constituents, I know how desperately we need more frontline FDV services. Glad to see WA getting much-needed funding and committing to match it.
