This year has been a roller-coaster, but overall pretty positive. I've gotten to become close with people I've somewhat known for a long time, I've met new people, my mod even made it to the top 10 upcoming mod of the year awards.

there is a deeply "console wars" quality to arguing about what medium is best for Art or Stories. creative people dont approach that decision from a neutral overhead position. whatever they want to do painfully boils out of them and whatever bucket they are used to operating will be what catches it

I had to embarrassingly explain that I am just a trans woman trying to do voice training and failing miserably, not a "troll" or something.

Every time you think 343 and Halo couldn't possibly stoop lower, they ALWAYS find a way to suprise and disappoint you further, every time without fail. God please kill this poor franchise. It should have ended with Reach. I never want another halo game released ever again.

I swear that some newer video games are silently anti-cannabis. They'll try to power down after like 5ish minutes of inactivity... psh, come on. In my day, we had to keep the game paused for bathroom breaks, meals, and sometimes overnight due to lack of save state/space. Metroid fans know what's up

Christmas causes me so much stress and anxiety. It just comes by so fast and then leaves immediately. It's a lot of change very quickly which I hate and it hits me like a truck every year.
