I thought this project was going to be a small chapbook style poetry book. I thought that it would be done BEFORE Halloween. (and by done i mean written, edited, published, EVERYTHING!) I thought it'd be 20 pages at the most.

I know why authors have to do it this way, but I -hate- it when a book character finds an old journal that probably contains answers about the mysterious occurrences and then they take like, three weeks of book time to read it. Especially if their life is hanging in the balance: dude, come on.

I'll admit, I don't know HOW many poems are going to be in this book. I don't know how long each poem will be. (Some are a full page, while the longest is currently 7 pages...) I don't have the story written down in any way other than what I get done in the day. Am I winging it? Totally. But I know

I love writing a quiet horror book while singing along to Manchild by Sabrina Carpenter. I have a feeling my MC would absolutely adore her and this song. (despite her being a massive lesbian and never been with a man, but she's met PLENTY of the manchild variety :P ) #AmWriting #writingcommunity

Just spent the last 2 hours working on 3 or 4 poems...This book is a labor of love that's for sure. This poetry book tells a horror story of being haunted by supernatural monsters, a friendship that withstands anything, and a mysterious man who seems to control all of it. #writingcommunity #booksky
