This is happening because Trump doesn't want Maxwell talking about Trump's behavior, not because Trump disapproved of Epstein's and Maxwell's behavior, as he and his suck-ups claim.
"Maxwell has received custom meals personally delivered to her cell, after-hours time in a private exercise area, access to a service puppy, and private meetings with visitors arranged by the warden, complete with snacks. Visitors were allowed to bring computers..."

In a letter to the president, House Democrats say Maxwell’s treatment as she prepares a clemency request makes the convicted sex offender look like a “guest at a Trump hotel.”

This CBC fluff piece on Carney’s corporate welfare plans manages to praise Linerals’ massive LNG expansion with no mention that scientific audits find that LNG is as climate-destabilizing as coal. They are making Canada a climate villain, driving debt up.

Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength.

Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans.

The American people need more from their leaders.

The single most important bill to get passed into law to save democracy is the Fair Representation Act. We cannot continue with a 2-party system where one has no interest in democracy and the other has no interest in fighting to protect it and us. We must end winner take all and empower new parties.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.
