Sit the fuck down and read this 🔥 thread here. Its in response to the article posted earlier about requiring everyone on SNAP to reapply.

I am mad, @msmedicaid.bsky.social is mad, and you need to get mad, too.

Call your reps at the federal AND state level. Demand action to protect the people.
Alright. I’m home and got to read the whole article and fucking hell @altssa.altgov.info I only got back this morning after needing to literally calm myself about the fate of ACA.

Alright buttercups… brace yourselves.

This is a lot to digest. And honestly? Where the fuck to begin with this?

I was wrong, there are four republicans who voted for it. Also, what a fucking twilight zone moment that it was votes from Nancy Mace, Lauren Boebert, and Marjorie Taylor Greene that helped make this happen.
Because she was one of the 3 republicans who voted for the release of the Epstein files. He's getting nervous and it's apparent. She's still a bad person, but I think it's funny in a sort of "facism is confused. It hurt itself in its confusion" type of way.

Yet Disney paid its CEO $41B in 2024. It just reported a 36% increase in net profits for parks and streaming. And it plans to double stock buybacks next year.

Remember this as Disney turns to AI.

Boycotting big tech like Amazon and Google can feel impossible because it's so ingrained into our society. There are steps you can take to phase some of their features and products out of your life, as well as better alternative products and companies to fill the void, such as the Proton suite.
Big tech has always been a problem. One that slid under the radar far too long because society was too dazzled by fancy tech. The unsustainable practices of big tech are what have resulted in cell phone landfills and continues to fuel the demand for child mines in the Congo. Boycott if you can.
🚨BALLROOM CORRUPTION ALERT🚨

At least 8 Big Tech companies have reportedly donated to build Trump his new golden ballroom, including: Amazon, Apple, Google, Meta, Micron, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Palantir.

🧵Many of those companies have business before the federal government:

I wonder if they're even capable of comprehending that if they (Trump administration) somehow win this suit, say with a corrupt supreme court, it then sets the precident that it shouldn't be allowed in other states either. For example, all the red states that they are trying to pull this same stunt.

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.
