The Canadian identity, as I understand and celebrate it, is that anyone can be Canadian, while maintaining their individual/community identity, as long as we all respect each other and nurture a feeling of belonging.

We then choose the best #BikeTO routes based on a bucket of criteria.. including equity, connectivity, safety and constructability - and within our budget.
The side street routes absolutely do NOT exist.

I cannot stress this enough. The side street routes do not exist. IF THEY DID, THEY WOULD BE FULL OF CARS. There are no routes through the side streets ON PURPOSE, to discourage cut-through traffic!

Premier Ford, the bike counter at Bloor W by Keele, 5:22pm today 871 PEOPLE of all ages had passed riding their bicycles.
As of Jan. 1, it’s been 386,152.
If there were CONNECTIONS N-S to Lake, there would be 2 to 3 times more riders.
Toronto needs more SAFE bikelanes, NOT less.
