Neil deGrass Tyson: "How sad it must be believing that scientists, historians, scholars, economists, journalists devoted their entire lives to deceiving you, but a reality-TV star proven in court to be a lying felon is your beacon of truth & honesty"

It only takes 4 Republicans in the House, or 4 in the Senate to stop this.

Re: the Milwaukee judge.
Let’s say that the judge did commit a crime. In a normal time, such an allegation would be a matter to be handled with the utmost care, to ensure that a judge is not given special treatment because they are a judge, but also to make certain that if a judge is to be arrested

Now I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to see if Pete Hegseth sent military secrets to a THIRD group chat containing a mistress, a dermatologist, and his bodega guy.
‘wife, brother, and lawyer’ is a crazy combination of people for a group chat lmao
Breaking News: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is said to have shared detailed information about forthcoming strikes in Yemen on March 15 in a private Signal group chat that included his wife, brother and personal lawyer.

Pam Bondi saying the days of criminals facing no consequences are over whilst working for a 34 time felon who faced no consequences is a bit on the nose.

Audits of the very rich return six times their cost.

Cutting IRS staff is a gift to tax evaders and the exact opposite of reducing the deficit.

We need language for a simple, easy to understand Constitutional amendment to overturn the USSC immunity decision. We need good language first, then start a campaign for it. Voters from all sides have an interest in not having a president (possibly from the other party) who is above the law.

Having out of town guests over. We were going to make them a meal, as has been the custom in virtually every culture in human history, but I think instead we'll berate them, criticize their clothing choices, and demand they thank us for everything.

Gender roles are very important.

For example, in the church, men are called to love God and love their neighbor.

Women, however, are called to love God and love their neighbor.

Remember: there were pastors who said they didn’t want to get “political” by talking about something as divisive as desegregation from their pulpits.

Avoid those who don’t want to sully their brand with the scandal of dignifying your humanity.

This is not who we are.

A timely observation.

This whole thread 🧵 is a pointed commentary on the flimsy nature of "respectability" conventions through the lens of fashion.
The Menswear Guy comes through again.
Many people are unable to separate clothes from character, which is how the fashion industry makes so much money. They sell you on the idea that you can be a certain person by wearing certain clothes. In reality, character is defined by actions, not clothes.

When Trump tries to postpone elections at some point one argument his people will make is, “But Zelensky postponed elections and you didn’t think that made him a dictator.”

Just get ready for that. It’s coming.

Would be fascinating for Dem House members to invite constituents of R members who are dodging them to join them at the Capitol for the day, walk them up to their absent Congressman.

“Xxx, this is Jeff, he lives in your district but you won’t answer his questions. Jeff, ask away…”
