A other day of awful news headlines.

Ticketmaster have gone a bit nuts on the pre concert protocols. I wonder how many more I'll get this weekend just for the one concert.

Good afternoon.
I slipped and fell in the kitchen last night so tonight I shall watch bits of Children in Need, as I sit slathered in Voltarol.
Might need chocolate.

I saw the film Palestine 36 today.

I recommend it.

I was always surprised by my father's anti zionism. He said a country based on violence couldn't succeed.

Even more surprisingly he was interested and engaged when I went there, if not envious, just before he died, and funded another airfare.

Yes.
Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

Just reading Elena Ferrante 'The Days of Abandonment.'
The last seven books I've had from Ely library have all had pages with folds where the corners have been turned down, instead of using bookmarks.
People, just use a receipt as a bookmark for goodness sake. It's not hard to do.

No wonder Trumpton wants it disenabled.
Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.

Today is my birthday.
An ex boyfriend from the 1970's popped in to see me on Sunday and accused me of being 70.
I told him to f*** off 😂

Just used a Nespresso machine for the first time. The drink was every bit as awful as any other cup of Nescafe!😬

only in the small print of this article do they make clear that the pensioners paying an extra £2,500 of tax would have to have
“earnings over £125,140”

I know many pensioners are asset rich but how many have income at that level?

I like celeriac.
First celeriac of the season!
I’m looking forward to this, it should be big enough for two or three dishes.

Cutting but apt.
Chris Mason is what happens when a Hospital Radio DJ, whose sole qualification appears to be a sort of soporific inoffensiveness, is somehow promoted to BBC Politics Editor - a position that demands unflinching insight, objectivity, and sharpness. It's like a puddle trying to be the ocean.

Depends. If it's with fish, partake. If a saveloy, Collins English mustard.
I am my own minority, but I kinda know that already.

Why are people moaning about having to switch off Question Time because X or Y is so unbearable to listen to?
Why are they even bothering to watch it any more?!
