The wife of one of our master’s students was detained by ICE last month. She was released, but was so traumatized that she has left MN out of fear. He is now caring for his two daughters alone and had to bring his toddler to class yesterday. Please help him out if you can 🩵

Welp, landlord asked us to take our "Be Pretti Good" sign down.

Sooooo, Trump is now aiming to radicalize the landlords against ICE?
I’m on the scene at Franklin and 1st. A convoy of about a couple dozen ICE/HSI agents broke the entryway into an apartment building at 6am. No warrant presented. Less than 24 hours ago, Tom Homan announced the end of large convoys in Minnesota… Bullshit.

Axios had a story today about how hard Minnesota’s economy is being hit and how slow the recovery could be. So, I’m going to take this opportunity to say that if you want to support the Twin Cities, you should plan a visit for this summer, spend some money here, & see how amazing it is for yourself.

Predicting that this week we’ll hear more conciliatory words from the Administration regarding Minnesota (since they’re starting to realize that ICE has become politically toxic) but everyone outside of Minnesota needs to know that nothing on the ground has changed.

death from disease in concentration camps is so widespread and so predictable that it's pretty clearly a feature, not a bug.
ICE now confirming that there is a measles outbreak at the Texas concentration camp where young Liam was held.

I just got tear gassed along with thousands of union members, many of whom had their families with them. Federal agents at the ICE facility tear gassed children. We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.

Eat Street Crossing is offering free meals and boba to community members, and y’all I am tearing up. Local restaurants and artists are showing up for this city. Every local show has been converted into a benefit show. Give ESC all your money and go to the Braingiver EP Release/Benefit show tonight

I know why we’re all focused on Noem, but it feels like we should be talking a lot more about impeaching Bondi

Social scientists and old-school Minnesotans like me fret about areas of decline in civic culture (e.g., corporate philanthropy), but we've held up pretty well in volunteering, voting, and mutual aid. And if it's 20-below and your car needs a jump, it's a pretty good place to be.
"The federal cowboys who flooded Minnesota streets actually ran headfirst into the state’s formidable civil society — a network of civically engaged people and organizations that makes this a risky place for the federal government to pick a fight with its own citizens," writes columnist Eric Roper
Roper: How Minnesota’s civic culture fueled a tough ICE resistance and took the feds by surprise
It’s not pleasant for people to go toe-to-toe with the federal government. But in this case, it’s very Minnesotan.

Our immigrant neighbors have never made us fear for our collective safety. ICE has.
Gov. Landry: "I like to ask Democrats if they like their communities to be dangerous or safe. Do they want their children to be able to walk to school or do they want to worry if they send them on the sidewalks, that unfortunate violent things are going to happen to them?"

New rule: these people never have to buy a drink in Minnesota again
Scrolling through the photos of Pam Bondi's "Minnesota rioters," it's just hero after hero. Every photo includes a cowardly DHS agent with their back to the camera.

Bondi thinks she's going to win the propaganda war with this shit, but it's never been more clear that they're losing.
