Systems Engineer building something new in mobile energy storage
⚡️Electrify Everything ⚡️
Electricity price trajectories are a massive concern. A lot of major markets are seeing brutal impacts already (i.e. San Diego at >$0.40/kWh). Load side growth is only just spinning up, we need more renewables deployment and FAST.
More people should be talking about this.

We're working on all sorts of fun questions at Anode.

🔋How do you drive costs down for temp power?
🔋Why should grid-tied batteries sit still?
🔋 How much energy can you put on the back of a truck?

"Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the government can expel legal residents from the country based on 'past, current, or expected beliefs, statements, or associations that are otherwise lawful.'"

Again: the SoS said that he can expel legal residents from the country for "expected beliefs"...

Can't help but think this week is when the true scale of the tariff impact in the US starts becoming apparent. We're pretty much / are past the arrival date on the last sea freight ships from CN before the tariffs went into effect, I expect ports are going to be dead silent from here on...

Feel ls like a perfect storm w/ auto tariffs taking effect...
- Subprime auto loan delinquency rates look to exceed 2010 peaks in March (maybe > 7%?) while % of loans w/ negative equity ~ 40%
- Auto prices +8% or more & repair costs much more
- Avg new car prices already at record highs ~ $48k...

Like it's just a pump and dump now... dudes cutting his losses by buying himself out with investor capital (for what the 5th time?) and then xAI will either see massive losses which they absorb or he'll just roll it into the next pump and dump... 🙃

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general.

If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

The NYT asked me to write an op-ed on Musk and the Treasury and then took a pass. I hope it will still get read.
Personal Discretion Over the Treasury's Payments System Means the End of Democracy
If the Court and federal workers fail to stop Elon Musk, we are heading for authoritarianism.

"No one ever thought this would happen" is dishonest and journalists not pointing that out are doing you all a disservice. Many people said word for word this would happen. You just didn't respect those people. And you need to be honest instead of the feigned surprise for sympathy.

The goal is waived off. Jack Drury was in the blue paint. Sorokin came out + made what looked like very light contact with him, and Drury got out of the way as the shot was coming in.

If that's illegal, just go back to no one in the blue. That's not even close to the standard from recent years.
Josh Manson gets it right back. All the great chances they've created tonight and ... low to high, shot from the right point through a sea of bodes finds a way.

Buuut ... we've got a goalie interference challenge. Please hold.

I know Manson's numbers are still decent but my god does he fail the eye test. SO many bad plays/giveaways.

Trump’s attacks on the clean energy industry are going to hurt GOP communities the most, because around three-quarters of these investments are flowing to Republican districts. I went on @cnn.com this week to discuss.

Trump has deployed active military to help round up migrants and put them into detention camps.

The military forced us out of our homes at gunpoint in 1942 because we were considered possibly disloyal Americans. They sent us to internment camps for four years.

History is repeating. Pay attention.

On one hand; kneecaping multiple prominent US industries out of spite and probably sending us into economic depression is bad.

On the other hand; I guess it might actually make groceries cheaper... You just won't have money to buy them with anymore. #TrumoMath

The assault on NIH is a test for how the national media covers the Trump admin: Trump is shutting down medical research!

That is easy to communicate. Will they treat it as a 5 alarm fire in a way that forces the government to respond, or will they downplay & caveat it?

President Donald Trump took aim at federal and state support for electric vehicles on his first day in office. But it’s not clear he has the power he’s claimed on the topic.

Trump: There's an energy emergency! We're producing more oil & gas than ever & drillers don't want to drill more. Meanwhile, we're experiencing rapid electricity demand growth. A crisis! So... Let's block the cheapest, fastest way to add new electricity supply to US grids (wind, solar, batteries).🤔🤷‍♂️

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.

i think the executive orders directing agencies to end energy efficiency regulations and open up more land to drilling and mining is so indicative of the character of the american right — in its view everything, whether people or our larger environment, is something to be exploited and dominated
