But one example of a broad and colossal failure covered-up by the legacy press and collaborators inside the house more than any supposed cover-up of Biden's cognitive decline.
The Biden DOJ had a perfectly legal avenue to release this to the public—a response to a FOIA request. They may have even been legally obligated to produce it in response to the FOIA request. And they decided not to, to protect Donald Trump’s reputation? What?
Found the Associated Press article where the existence of this letter was first disclosed two years ago, in response to a FOIA request

It's definitely real

In retrospect, given that the lawbreakers are the same as tge enforcers, the legislation should have contained a provision expressly providing for prosecution of responsible officials by the inherent contempt powers of Congress and/or a true Independent Counsel.
Khanna: You’ve got the DOJ releasing the names of survivors—which they are not allowed to do by law—but not releasing the FBI interview files with those same survivors. Those FBI interviews contain the names of other men: Wall Street tycoons and politicians…

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche was keen to shut down Biden DOJ investigations into crypto fraud as one of his first major official acts. That seems to have violated confkict of interest laws according to experts quoted. Resembles the never-resolved Supreme Court controversies.

Apparently the prosecutors on the Ghislaine Maxwell case were aware that DOJ management wanted to be apprised of developments implicating then-President Trump, particularly if they implied Trump likely had direct knowledge of Epstein's criminal activity.
December 23, 2025 at 9:58 AM
These Epstein File redactions, botched though they may be, clearly violate the law, and Todd Blanche must know that.
Ok. Now had a chance to check and, well, at least some docs do appear to be straight up classic redaction fail. And there are some *interesting* bits here.

Lucy 'splain that if you can. Without these mysteriously retracted documents from DOJ everything else in the Epstein files remains to some degree guesswork.
After Epstein's 2019 death "prosecutors produced a seven-page memo on co-conspirators they might consider charging and followed that with an 86-page update in December ... a 13-page memo of corporate prosecutions they might pursue and a 26-page memo regarding another target prosecutors considered."
New trove of apparent Epstein files posted on DOJ site disappear
The Justice Department didn’t respond to requests for comment on the new documents or the decision to remove them.

Should have been done for the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case but the Garland DOJ was too skittish about political pushback and Jack Smith didnt want to rock that boat. And should be an even easier call now for the Chief District Judge and the 11th Circuit.
The request, addressed to the top federal judge in Miami, sought to block a U.S. attorney from pursuing a politically charged inquiry before Judge Aileen Cannon, who has repeatedly decided in President Trump’s favor.

In case you were wondering why Epstein was characterized as a high risk inmate awaiting trial, with specific restrictions reducing suicide risk, while Trump was president.
“Trump had known Defendant Epstein for seven years, and knew that Plaintiff was then just 13 years old. Defendant Trump initiated sexual contact with Plaintiff at four different parties.

Democrats are bringing in Merrick Garland to look at this from the bottom up.
So, everyone on the planet knew the release wasn't going to be up to legal standards. Why wasn't a subpoena ready to go at 12:01? Why are we now "looking into options" for something that was not just predictable, but predicted? And not just this one incident, it's every damn time.

Democrats not in array. The files are not all released. Trump and minions are in violation of the law, to no one's surprise. Media asks congressional Dems, what are you going to do about it (apparently no point in asking Repubs) A: We don't know, we are starting to talk about that. No plan, as usual
Ro Khanna is wildly optimistic or hasn't been paying attention to Trump's conduct in matters important to him. Trump will drive through every loophole in the law with the full weight of his executive power and taxpayer funds. If necessary he will take any case challenging him to the Supreme Court.
DOJ must release Epstein files by Friday or risk repercussions, law's co-author says.

Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., told NBC News what he expects to find in the files, and warned that a future president could charge DOJ officials who don't comply with the law. | NBC

In cases like Judge Dugan's the defendant herself is her own strongest advocate and not testifying removes that potential. Where on top of that the jury had an expectation that the defendant would testify they might feel they have no choice but to find a violation even if technical.
