Production week was too much of a whirlwind to post— I was at the theatre from 10am til 11pm daily. And in just 5 days, this cast created a beautiful show & an unforgettable process.

I am so grateful for this experience & the souls that collaborated to make it happen.

No Kings Protest in Manassas, VA! The coordinators believe it was at least 1500 people standing on a half mile stretch of road!

Surreal and emotional when you’re present in the moment, realizing what and why we’re protesting.

I went between crying and chanting the whole time. 🩵

My anxiety is through the roof as I prep for the debut performance of my play.

Things I wanted locked in weeks ago are still in flux, so I’ve had to shift my perspective from “professional level performance” to “most supportive director.”

Hand-building props today, snack haul tomorrow.

The best part about what we do with Eralore is collaboration.

Plant a seed and watch it grow in a new direction than you could have ever imagined on your own.

The Haverton Howler has grown with beta readers, guest actors, script workshops, and now… an illustration turned show poster!

In one month, we head to Cumberland for a whirlwind week: 5 rehearsals and two performances of Eralore’s latest story, The Haverton Howler!

Woke up this morning with a twinge of nervousness, as we explore some big changes in our lives. Then I was reminded of this song, which was written for “Johnnie’s Song,” our 1920s-style radio hour drama.

The world is deep, dive in.

Meet Bea. A young woman turned activist after the loss of her brother in a senseless, needless war.

What is it they say? Life imitates art. 💔

I’m avoiding finishing the next draft of my play, which needs to go back to the cast in a few weeks.

But in my defense, I’m much more in creator mode than critic mode right now. And it feels <really> good.

So yes. I’ve started writing a new play instead. 🫣

I started working on a burlesque stageplay script last year, and have been thinking about diving back in.

Today, I had a healing session, and she asked if I was a dancer!

No, why?

I saw you in a past life, you were a burlesque dancer! 👀 Soooo, I guess I’m writing that one next, huh?

I wasn’t sure anything could beat going into the recording studio with a cast and my script, but last week’s live reading and audience talkback proved me wrong.

As we inch closer to Eralore’s newest production, it has me brewing on new collaboration ideas!

We just got the call…

The latest story I wrote will be workshopped and produced this year!

From audio dramas to a full stage production?!

There has always been something about a family gathered around the radio, listening to their favorite stories… eager with anticipation & laughter, or maybe even surprise and mystery.

It feels like connection.

That is what I always aimed to create with my stories, with Eralore.
