Just realized I once again forgot Epic was doing daily free games instead of weekly like halfway through, and missed 2 games I wanted to grab. I would have even played one of them! Guess I'll just have to pay for what I want to play, sigh.

I've barely even started Fretless, and it's already a 10/10 game for me, go play it!
Nine Sols: I highly recommend this game. I give it a 7/10 but only because it heavily relies on parry mechanics, without it'd be an 8. Art is great, story is great, movement is great, controls are good, music is alright, and difficulty is high. There's a bit of gore, so avoid if that's an issue.

In Super Mario World, green berries increase the timer. By strategically eating them to make the timer pass 100 multiple times, the music can be sped up repeatedly. It turns out that the music engine cannot handle more than 20 speed-ups, and slows down to a crawl instead.

Lostprophets came on in my truck today (I haven't taken the MP3 player out since the initial news hit), and while I didn't feel disgust anymore, I'm still not ready to listen to that music. Maybe someday.

I don't know how much I can talk about my actual process but I love blathering on about art stuff. Theory, design, whatever the hell. I'm less an artist because I feel some grand calling and more because it's just an endless well of fascinating things to learn and practice (& I like telling stories)
Share your knowledge if/when you can. Teaching other people how to do what you do doesn’t lessen your art - it just means more and better art for everyone.
I appreciate when people are willing to tell me about their brushes, how they study, etc… I want to put that back out into the world.
