Those dollars support jobs from housekeeping to HVAC workers to landscapers to professors and physicians, nurses, technicians, and secretaries and administrative assistants.

All of these people help support medical care, education, and research.

If this sticks, it will be disastrous.

Yes, thank you! 🪶🐍🦑🦊 feeds, PLEASE use alt text. So post below for how to turn on a setting so you don’t forget. It makes a huge accessibility difference and can be quick and easy, just write a line or two describing what’s in your image!
New to @bsky.app? We’ve got some etiquette just for you!

Turn on the little feature that reminds you to post alt text with your images. Alt text allows blind and partially sighted people to understand what's in your images using screen readers. Without alt text, it just says "image".

Zeer teleurstellend dat de grote demonstratie van morgen last minute is afgelast. Officieel statement volgt.

Onderwijsprotest geschrapt, Utrecht vreest geweld pro-Palestijnse demonstranten
De gemeente heeft de organisatie aangeraden om de betoging af te blazen, omdat een pro-Palestina-organisatie die mogelijk met geweld zou willen kapen.

Great set of tips 🔽🧵! I'll add:

- If you are coming from the bird site, consider using the same profile picture, at least initially, so that people recognize you

- You can reorder your feeds (Feeds > Edit), and for instance put "Following" (chronological) first, like in the original BlueSky ../..

Look at this! Bluesky scientists 🧪 science facts advent calendar!
I did some math last night and if @skypeascientist.bsky.social sells 5000 advent calendars, between our other fundraisers and patreon, we would fully fund our program for 2025.

It’s a lot…but I’m going to attempt to do it.

any microbiologists on here?
Can you give some informed reasons to confirm/debunk my suspicion that:
- the genetically modified pro-biotics (s. mutans strain) to stop lactic acid formation in the mouth will not work? Or at least not for long?
luminaprobiotic is the company selling the bacteria. 🧪
