I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Natürlich ist es problemlos möglich, Themen wie Kriminalität, Bildungssystem-Defizite oder Integrationsprobleme anzusprechen, ohne dabei ein Rassist zu sein. Die Behauptung, irgendjemand möchte diese Themen ausklammern, ist Unsinn. Wir wollen sie nur nicht in Form von Remigrations-Hetze diskutieren.

Ich dachte ich wär vom Kölner Hbf und vom Stuttgarter Hbf einiges gewohnt, aber Hamburg steht den beiden in nichts nach was die menge an änderungs- und verspätungsdurchsagen angeht... und dabei will ich doch nur nach flensburg T_T

Actually... from my reading of the artists' basic income report, the government did not earn money back from the scheme (although its costs were offset 37%)
Most gains were societal and came from putting the artists' improvements in wellbeing in € terms

We don't get a lot of good news these days so you've got to appreciate it when it comes. This is a big deal!
Things I hate: whenever you dive into a rabbit hole of old timey mythology & pre-christian belief systems you inadvertently end up on a wiki page detailing how it's being turned into some sort of justification for right-wing nationalistic pricks who need a different flavor for their assholery. Ugh!
