Finally. It's absurd that the Trump admin was trying to kick Rhode Island workers off the job in order to keep Rhode Island families hooked on out-of-state fossil fuels. New England workers are building the future.
A federal judge sided with developers of the Revolution Wind project off the coast of Rhode Island, allowing construction of the wind farm to continue for now despite a stop-work order issued by the Trump administration last month.

@jedthorp.bsky.social and I teamed up for this op-ed www.providencejournal.com/story/opinio...

It’s well known people want this bill to pass, they are tired of seeing the litter and they are concerned about the amount of microplastics in the bay. Let’s do something before it’s too late!

I'm so glad that the RI Senate has passed the important legislation to ban (eventually) dangerous poisons that are harming birds and pets but not doing a great job controlling rats (or else there wouldn't be so many!) Baton taken, let's pass this RI House! www.providencejournal.com/story/news/p...
Rat poisons are killing RI birds of prey. Will the state ban them?
Advocates say rodenticides are killing birds of prey, but the pest control lobby says a ban would make dealing with rodents more expensive.

🚨 After years of advocacy, the RI House Judiciary Committee just passed an assault weapons ban.

This is a major step to keep people safe from senseless gun violence. Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard for so long to make today’s win possible.

RI is so lucky to have the smartest and strongest AG! Thankful for his continued leadership.
Great conversation with Rhode Islanders know what they are seeing from Trump and fighting to protect us all from it.

So grateful for the opportunity to discuss our collective AG and AG staff work - much of it right here in RI

Thanks!

The only people who benefit from our nation's mini arms war are vigilantes, gun lobbyists and gunmakers. The rest of us will suffer.
🚨 The Trump Administration is greenlighting the sale of deadly devices that turn everyday guns into machine guns—despite the clear, proven danger. This reckless move paves the way for more carnage and mass shootings. Machine guns don’t belong in our communities. Not now, not ever.
The Trump Admin. just made machine guns legal again by permitting the sale of devices that turn AR-15s into fully automatic weapons. Forced-reset triggers increase a weapon’s rate of fire to mimic fully automatic guns—allowing a shooter to fire an entire magazine’s worth of ammunition in seconds.

What we know is we have a severe litter problem and one of the easiest ways to eliminate that is with a bottle bill. A public poll shows RI’ers want this and understand we need to do something to protect our environment.
Last night we discussed proposed bottle deposit & extended-producer responsibility that would require producers of packaging to help pay for cleanup.
Thanks to everyone that reached out.
There’s lots of misinformation about the bills, but you can watch a recording of the hearing on Capitol TV.
