My office has produced a brief report that addresses the tax burden myths that are driving the current push to halt the Preschool for All revenue collection. Credit goes to my Senior Policy Advisor and Chief Economist Dr. Erik Dean. Bottom line: taxes are not driving people out of the county 🧵

This is a vital message: one of the larger reasons BlueSky is refreshingly free of alt-right shitlords is because in the early days we made a gentleperson’s agreement to starve these fuckos out and it worked. No likes, no quotes, no engagement. They got bored and left. Please keep the Old Ways.

Catching up on yesterday’s city council budget hearing. Was Zimmerman in tears when he proposed his budget note regarding ICE and sanctuary status? Nice moment with him, Morillo, and Koyama-Lane

Never thought I’d spend an entire day absolutely riveted by a city budget hearing, but the new PDX city council had me HOOKED. Exceedingly proud of my District 3 reps, and of @councilormorillo.bsky.social in particular. A legend! Thank you for protecting our parks and not taking any shit, councilor.
