We now have a symposium with speakers discussing perspectives on gesture assessment and treatment with Anna Caute, Abi Roper, Chirag Girish Kiran, Sussex Williams, Elissa Manzi. Gesture is critical to communication and there is an unmet need for standardised assessment. #BASconf25

What an incredible afternoon at the Norwich Aphasia Choir concert. The joy in this picture says it all! More than just music- it was a reminder of the power of community and communication. Yesterday our aphasia choir wrote their own song. All words carefully chosen collaboratively by choir members, with a contribution from each individual included. We used art and total communication to generate ideas and support those with severe aphasia. And it was indeed a beautiful day! 🎵
