This seems like a good time for a reminder that you do not unfollow someone automatically when you block them. You need to unfollow before blocking (or go back and unblock briefly so you can unfollow and reblock).

JKR complaining on Twitter that "literary" types who condemned Weinstein, are silent on the subject of Neil Gaiman.

Presumably she's failed to realise his former friends & fans probably blocked her a ++long time ago, and that's why she hasn't seen the condemnation that's been everywhere for months

Thank fuck for Gillick competence in the UK - although that has been targeted heavily by the anti-trans folk

Just googled how much English councils spend on diversity schemes: about £30m per annum Which is no small beans, obviously. Total spend by English councils is a little over £100bn per annum.

That’s 0.03%.

PSA: fanfic puts authors in an awkward position legally, so they pretty much have to avoid ever seeing or acknowledging it. This is a universal thing and is never personal.

It’s truly amazing to see this particular comic traveling around social media uncredited and apparently edited. Original from FB on left.

In all seriousness, the best thing about Bluesky culture is “blocking other accounts for any reason at any time is totally acceptable,” and I strongly encourage new users to keep that in mind.

Block anyone who mildly annoys you! No gods, no masters! You owe NOTHING to HimmlerLicker69!

Just finished the audiobook of #RabbitHole by Mark Billingham narrated by Maxine Peake - wow! Excellent book with brilliant narration 👍👍

(I usually avoid narrated audiobooks, I don't like being read to, but the combination of the 1st person narrative & this narrator was fab!)

Never forget this hugely regressive bit of legislation masquerading as "common sense" and "protecting children". It feels like anti-trans discourse is very much heading in the same direction right now. Sanity prevailed once. May it do so again.
Today marks 24 years since the repeal of Section 28 of the Local Government Act 1988, which prohibited the “promotion of homosexuality” by local authorities.
