February was a slow reading month, apparently. But I always seem to slow down when I'm reading nonfic. Nonetheless, any month where there is reading is a good month!

This morning I came home from my overnight shift at my paid job just to go right in to a day of mando "new hire orientation" for my internship.
Which included a joke about interning not being exploitation bc it's an internship.

One of my classmates asked our prof last night about avoiding the news. Does that make them a terrible person, how do they balance that, the thought that we should remain informed and feeling bad if we avoid it, etc. I have thoughts.

Had a virtual staff meeting and a Zoom class for my field practicum/internship. Gus wanted to sit with me through it all. Except he got to sleep, while I had to have my camera on.

Home from my overnight (paid) shift by 8am. Slept for ~5 hours. Got up and did errands, making dinner, coursework, and as much else as would fit into a handful of hours bc now I must sleep to go to my (unpaid) day shift intern site in the morning. Some day off, eh? 😅

I am hard of hearing, live in a city, and enjoy a variety of crime related shows (currently on a comfort re-watch of Burn Notice).
This means, though, that there is a daily game of, "Is that the show? Or the neighborhood?" for sounds like sirens.

Idk if I can truly provide any in depth commentary on the halftime show (just watched on YT), but I will say it was incredible. Spouse and I are still talking about the symbolism and references, and we were already pointing things out while watching. That was such an amazing performance to witness.

I'm probably showing my age and there's better ways to do this, but does anyone else take photos of book covers to remember them later when adding your TBR? I'm walking around the store earlier like it's an art gallery... To be fair, some of these covers are worthy of it, tho... #BookSky

Managed to get my supervision log and learning contract submitted well ahead of time, so now I can go to work tonight and nap on my breaks, as intended by the universe.

Had our day trip to LA. Spouse lifted v heavy stones for a personal record. I learned I am not much of a city person. I appreciate the convenience, but as soon as we entered the city proper, it felt claustrophobic. I want the ocean, also mountains, and open space. I know, it's too much to ask.
