Texas Tech System restricts race and gender teaching
Tech, now the second Texas public university system to add similar teaching restrictions, had earlier directed faculty to follow state and federal guidance recognizing only two sexes.

I'm seeing some good critiques of this (and, as a scholar of ancient emotion, I have plenty to offer myself!), but I have to say: the claim that human emotional experiences are based in diverse cultural norms does NOT imply that people who experience emotions differently than we do are less human.
A common assumption is that throughout history, people have experienced the same basic range of emotions. A radical field of history now challenges this assumption, Gal Beckerman reports. theatln.tc/KD2QRX9Y
