Instead of strengthening the office, the government has left the position of Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise vacant, with signals suggesting plans to close the office entirely.

We can't let this happen.

The USW is denouncing the latest escalation in Donald Trump’s trade war!

The new tariff comes on top of the existing 35.16% duties already imposed. In total, Canadian softwood lumber shipments worth more than $7.7 billion annually will now face duties exceeding 45%.
