Also, Sabrina Shroff--who represented Sandwich Guy--is a phenomenal attorney. I worked on a matter with Sabrina when I was in practice and have no doubt the defense case was expertly litigated.

@elisebmaizel.bsky.social and I wrote a piece last summer on the private lawsuits against law firms over DEI. Now that the EEOC is moving against DEI, it’s even more relevant.

I sound like a broken record, but to understand what's happening in government look to Musk's Twitter purchase.

Before Musk officially closed his deal for Twitter in Oct. 2022, his team demanded that the company freeze all payments to outside contractors and vendors.

"According to one person familiar with the department, Trump-affiliated employees had asked about Treasury’s ability to stop payments. But Lebryk’s pushback was, 'We don’t do that,' the person said." https://cnn.it/40H6jN9

This is obviously and rightly being ratioed. But I just want to jump in to express my undying love for New Jersey Transit. Underappreciated and under resourced, but a tremendous public good.

C'mon Phil, pull your socks up and tell New Jersey they can park in Secaucus.
Today I sent a letter to President Trump urging his Administration to reexamine New York’s congestion pricing scheme.

Congestion pricing is a disaster for New Jersey commuters and must receive the close look it deserves from the federal government.

It's worth noting what the shareholder proposal was actually asking the board to do--to prepare and release a report on the "risks" of DEI. The board of Costco, in a move that counts as brave in the current environment, declined to do some right wing group's ideological homework.
“Costco, which pays some of the highest wages in retail and is considered a progressive employer, is backing DEI at a moment when such initiatives are under attack from right-wing activists, legal groups, conservative customers and President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration.“
