Last night I won my first manga award - the lettering award at the 2nd annual American Manga Awards! Thank you everybody 🥰
The lettering legend Tom Orzechowski presented it to me. That blew my mind because I’ve read & enjoyed so much of his work. He & Studio Proteus were a big influence for me.

Time for something a little different... A few nights ago, I finished my first new song in eleven years! It's called "Blood Oath" and like a lot of my music, it's creepy and frenetic. It's a mix of vintage horror & sci-fi feeling, but shredded by ADHD (my braiiiiinn.) Hope you like it... It's weird!

Time for something a little different... A few nights ago, I finished my first new song in eleven years! It's called "Blood Oath" and like a lot of my music, it's creepy and frenetic. It's a mix of vintage horror & sci-fi feeling, but shredded by ADHD (my braiiiiinn.) Hope you like it... It's weird!

A friend asked me if I can see DMs or not, and I forgot to mention on here that I ended up caving and doing the mandatory Ohio age verification. I got around it with some sneaky code, but that stopped working. I went with the least invasive method, since I am weary about companies having my data.

One that comes to mind is seeing Scott Pilgrim on opening night while visiting Toronto. I was already stoked to see it (and loved it!), but it was really nice to see in a theater packed full of Torontonians who were cheering for all the local locations and culture lovingly recreated in the movie.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?
Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

I might be little biased, since I letter the print edition, but I truly believe that Tank Chair deserves to be a huge smash hit. It has the gritty feel of '90s cyberpunk manga, mixed with a quirky sense of humor & intelligence. Manabu Yashiro's art is really unique & awesome too. Don't sleep on it!

I've seen Bernie wear this same winter coat probably at least ten times in photos in as many years, and I find it endearing. Always nice to have a trusty warm coat that you stick with.
Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol made $95 million last year. His workers are striking for the bare minimum. Glad to be on the right side of the picket line with them.

Speaking of musicians I slept on too long... Tame Impala! I got "The Slow Rush" and it's gooood! I feel like I was destined to get into his music, since I love his collaborations with Thundercat and Justice, and have had several times where I Shazamed a song and it wound up being Tame Impala.
