When one unhoused man said he didn't want to go to the warehouse, officers told him: “It’s either that or jail.”
He offered to move. They said, “No, you can come with us or we’ll cuff you and throw you in jail.”

Nothing makes me more itchy than the trend among #adoptiveparents of blocking their peers or adult #adoptees and #formerfosteryouth when their parenting/social media use etc gets questioned

Although it’s increasingly more likely that #WWIII will be started by a domestic power instead of a foreign, I never guessed the cause would be child #2 running out of leggings and having to choose jeans or tights instead

I’m 11 minutes into the #sugarcanedocumentary and am already breath taken. I can’t remember the last time I saw such beautiful displays of indigenous cultures as you see at the Kamloopa festival.

As a mom this is what I need but the best I can hope for is 15 minutes after the baby gets up before the big kids do so I can drink my coffee alone 😅
Please don’t even talk to me in the morning until I’ve had my coffee, 27 hours of alone time, several months by the seaside to ease my agonies, and many decades to wander the earth until the fabled blade of my ancestors can finally be reforged

How is it “volunteering”? What were their other choices? I don’t believe much informed consent is going into actual teenagers choosing this route.
