ICYMI on Thursday: Hawaii's Supreme Court keeps releasing opinions that denounce the U.S. Supreme Court. They call the Roberts court “pretend law.”

The latest? A ruling that requires the police to record all interrogations, with more shots at SCOTUS from Hawaii Justice Eddins.

The justices ruled that Hawaii’s constitution requires police to record interrogations. And they vowed to protect due process for Hawaii residents—unlike, they said, the Roberts Court.

The rebranding of reactionary gender and biological essentialism as “heterodox and challenging ideas to which liberal students must be exposed” is one of the greatest achievements of our stupid era. Congratulations to the reactionary centrists who helped make it happen - you dupes, you utter dolts.

At what point am I required to stop considering myself a professor. Because I’m still hoping there’s treatment that makes it better enough to teach one class a semester. But it’s been since Fall 2022. How long am I allowed to still claim professor as part of my identity? #longcovid

You know, I think one reason I’m bitter about having long COVID is that, when long COVID was first announced as a thing, I said to myself, “I’ll wind up with long COVID if I get COVID. It would just be my luck.”

Can’t I have good premonitions?
