“Oh Say Can You See” is not a great national anthem. Would have been better if it was the Battle Cry of Freedom and someone sang “Down with the traitors and up with the stars” about crushing the Confederacy before every game.

The eventual Penn Station should of course still be called Penn Station, but it should have a plaque on it that reads, “this station’s rail service and the tunnels that make it possible exist despite the attempts of Donald Trump to kill them. He failed.” www.nytimes.com/2026/02/06/n...

I actually suspect Penn Station will end up named after him anyway. Amtrak owns the station, he can order Duffy to rename it after Byford rebuilds it. But he’s trying to get Schumer to bless it with bipartisan legitimacy, and Schumer should tell Trump to bite a sidewalk.
One thing I have to say about this is that too many people, both on this website and in private group chats, are saying "we should just rename it for him now because the funding is too important and we can remove his name later."

And I have to say, no, absolutely not. Do not give in to this charade
I, too, have confirmed the legacy-laundering nomenclature negotiations vis a vis Hudson River Tunnel:

Per three sources, Trump said he’d quit interfering in the funding if Dulles and/or Penn got renamed for him.

It’s honestly just sad. You really can’t help but feel pity for someone so hated he has to blackmail the country into naming things after him. His name would always be tainted by the “honor” being coerced. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/06/u...

BREAKING -- New York and New Jersey both jointly sued the Trump administration tonight over the regime's refusal to restore funds for the Gateway Project's Hudson River Tunnel.

The tunnel is expected to run out of money Friday if the funds stay frozen.

What ever happened to Twitter.new? They should try to launch it quickly… its mere existence will require reporting to get more careful about how it refers to Elon Musk's X, which make the trustworthiness of posts on the platform (including from government officials) much clearer.
