"Dumm" ist kein unbedachtes Wort. Es ist strategisch brillant und moralisch feige. Es simuliert Selbstkritik, ohne Verantwortung zu übernehmen. Gates technokratisiert die Moral. Übersetzt heißt "dumm" so viel wie: Das war nicht clever von mir. Ein Satz für die Reputation, nicht für das Gewissen.
