My first article for @npquarterly.bsky.social has arrived!

It's about nonprofits removing banned language, including mentions of vulnerable and marginalized people, from websites and public docs.

Some orgs are being ordered to do so by the Trump administration.

Others are obeying in advance.

A good feeling: moving a client from the "Past Clients" folder back into the "Active Clients" folder in ClickUp 😊

For any consultants out there that aren't focusing effort on building long term relationships with clients even after their projects end, you're playing on hard mode.

Working on a website content audit that is kinda terrifying. Those four URLs highlighted are four identical, duplicate pages. No redirects to one primary version of the page. No canonical tags. Just four duplicate pages 🤯

In this week's edition of The Digital Landscape, I shared some donation appeal tips from an appeal letter from Groundswell Fund (not on bluesky?)

When your donors are awash in the 🌊 of appeal emails and mailers, having print and digital tools working well together can make all the difference. (1/6)

I'm thinking of all the people who pose no threat to society & whose lives are deteriorating due to our mass incarceration crisis & unjust criminal legal system.

For the families harmed by mass incarceration, President Biden must act.

Here's my statement on his pardon this week.

This intro to the open network concept was helpful for me. Would love to hear more (or get reading suggested to me) on the differences between the benefits of AT protocol and what’s going on with Mastodon, etc. Two different models, right? Thanks @emilyliu.me
While Bluesky looks like other social apps on the surface, it’s actually quite different. It’s an open network.

I blogged about it here:

Apparently big Google is just inserting links into websites now, if you’re using the Google app to browse on iOS?!

Another wild attempt to pull web users back from websites to Google Search.

Google is inserting search links into webpages in the Google App now
Have you seen them yet?
