11/ The tariffs aren’t economic policy. They are political weapons.

But as long as we see this clearly, we can stop him. Public mobilization is working. Today, a few Republicans joined Democrats to vote against one set of tariffs.

The people still have the power.

Pushback works, part gazillion:

"Here are the facts: DOGE moved forward with plans to close multiple field offices. Then, without public notice or explanation, they reversed their plans. Now they are trying to pretend like they were never planning to close the offices."

How the Social Security Administration and DOGE are gaslighting Americans
The Social Security Administration (SSA) sent an email on March 27 to beneficiaries saying that reports that field offices were closing was an invention of fake news media.

The idea that a pro-union candidate might lead a Republican labor department was once unthinkable, @russellberman.bsky.social writes. Trump’s nomination of Lori Chavez-DeRemer will test how much the GOP is willing to bend Republican orthodoxy on organized labor:
A Trump Cabinet Pick Gets a Rare GOP Grilling
The fate of Lori Chavez-DeRemer could show whether Trump will soften the party’s long-standing opposition to labor unions.

I spoke about the 3.5% number to a group of organizers recently. It’s really important to remember that it doesn’t take many of us to create change.
Over 50% of nonviolent movements to overthrow governments are successful within one year of their peak.

The key is to engage over 3.5% of the country, a cross-section of society—clergy, kids, grandmas, teachers) using DIVERSE & CREATIVE tactics, with women in leadership.

We can do this.

As your Governor, I will always let the ideals and values Dr. King aspired to — equality and justice for all — guide the work we do on behalf of Virginians.
